Video Name: “How to take attendance for student instruction and family workshops”

To take student attendance for instruction and family workshops, follow these steps. As teachers, you’ll be responsible for taking attendance for your instructional sessions and family workshops. Remember that attendance is one of the ways we measure student participation, so we want to be sure that the data is up to date and accurate.

  1. From the left-side navigation panel, click on the Attendance Tab.

    1. The Attendance Tab will default to the Instructional Time page

  2. Select the classroom you would like to take attendance for

    1. You may also select All Classrooms if you’d like to take attendance for all students in the session

  3. Select the week you would like to take attendance for

  4. Click the Take Attendance button

  5. For each student click the down carat for the day you would like to take attendance and select the attendance status for the student

    1. You may select Present, Absent, and Excused* from the drop down

*The excused record will be removed from the overall attendance calculation

You can also take attendance for multiple students by selecting their checkboxes and then selecting an attendance status. Click the Save Changes button to finish.

Please reach out to your Springboard Program Director if you have any questions about taking attendance.
