How do I view an individual student’s family-entered data?
Navigate to the Students page of Connect: Educator.
On the Students page, you will see a list of students enrolled in the program.
Click the name of the student whose family-entered data you wish to view.
To the right of the student's name, you will find the number of minutes read per week.
Review the minutes read data to get a sense of how much reading is happening at home.
Click on "Students" on the left-side menu of the platform.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
You'll see a list of students displayed, which you can filter by classroom if needed.
To the right of each student's name, look for the "Goal" section.
The goal represents the reading domain that the students and their family members have selected as their objective for the program.
Each goal is associated with 5 specific reading strategies.
Click on the name of the student you wish to view.
You'll be redirected to that student's information page.
On the right side of the screen, you'll find details about the specific reading strategies the student is currently working on.
This page provides specific information, including which of the five steps of practice the student is currently on.
Families are asked to provide feedback at the end of each week regarding how their student has performed with the strategy, indicating whether they were able to do the strategy independently, with some support, or with a lot of support. This feedback is crucial for guiding conversations with families.
You can also view the number of minutes read for every week directly within the strategy boxes.
You can use this information to check-in with families to support at-home reading and monitor students’ progress on their goal and reading strategies.
How do I view family-entered data for the Class?
Navigate to the Reading Time & Strategies page.
In the Reading Time tab, select the desired classroom and week.
Review the reading times logged for each student in that classroom during the selected week.
To check strategy reflections, switch to the Weekly Strategies tab.
You'll see a complete list of students, which you can filter by class if needed.
Scroll horizontally to view each strategy for each week and the progress logged for each strategy.
This method allows you to efficiently monitor the progress of multiple students over a week's period without having to navigate through their individual student profiles.
