How to use message templates in C:E
To use message templates in C:E, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Group messages page, which you can find on the left side of your screen next to the paper plane icon
2. Make sure the New Message button is highlighted in blue
3. Below will be a list of the students. Select the box to the left of their name and ID; the box will then be blue
4. Once you have selected the student(s), you will scroll down
5. There you will find a message box and the template selection
6. Choose the method of delivery under ‘Select Delivery Channel’, you will have three options:
Student’s preferred communication channel (whichever delivery method they have selected in their Connect account)
Text message SMS
Email
7. Choose the delivery date and time that you would like the message delivered. If you want the message delivered immediately, check the box that says ‘Deliver as soon as possible’
8. After choosing your method of delivery, you will choose a message template
9. The date and time selections after the message template selection are to fill-in information in the text box
You cannot type directly into the text box when using message templates
10. In the next text box, provide Location or Link that families will use
