Session Staff Onboarding Reference Guide

Welcome to Springboard Collaborative! We’re thrilled to have you join us in building powerful partnerships between students, families, and educators. We recommend bookmarking this page and revisiting it often before your program begins!

Purpose: This guide serves as your central hub and essential resource, clearly outlining your entire preparation journey—from registration to professional development. It provides a clear, step-by-step path and links directly to dedicated articles containing the most current information for all required setup tasks and activities.

Scope: This document will not provide system-specific training (the "how-to") or site-specific details (dates, times, locations). Those will be covered during your scheduled PD sessions or in meetings with your Springboard Program Director/Developer.

Due Dates: Reference your Welcome Email or ask your Program Leader for your site’s specific due dates.

Onboarding Steps

Step 1: Registration

Registration is mandatory and must be completed before you can continue onboarding.

  • Follow the steps in the linked article to officially register for your Springboard program.

  • Registration is typically due 1-2 weeks before professional development is set to begin. Check your Welcome Email or with your Program Leader for your registration due date.

Step 2: Hiring

If you are being paid directly by Springboard Collaborative, you cannot legally begin work until you have completed all hiring steps.

  • Follow the steps in the linked article, which details requirements and processes for participants who are being paid directly by Springboard (if applicable).

  • The full hiring process typically takes 1 to 2 weeks to complete and can only begin after you register.

  • You should complete the entire hiring process at least 1 week before professional development begins. Check your Welcome Email or with your Program Leader for your specific dates.

If you will be receiving pay through your site/district, skip over this step and proceed to step 3: Systems Access.

Step 3: Systems Access

Systems access is granted to session staff and teachers preceding professional development. Staff can ONLY receive access after completing the registration and hiring (if applicable) steps.

  • Follow the steps in the linked article which detail what to expect to activate the systems you will use during professional development and programming.

  • Springboard Collaborative utilizes the following systems: OKTA single-sign-on, Learning A-Z’s Raz Plus, and Ramp.

  • You will receive systems access approximately 2 business days before your first day of professional development. Check your Welcome Email or with your Program Leader for your dates.

  • You should check your ability to access all necessary systems before professional development begins.

Step 4: Professional Development

To access your session(s) and courses, ensure you have accepted the calendar invite(s) and have access to your Okta account.

  • Follow the steps in the linked article on how to obtain information on your professional development schedule and courses.

  • All professional development courses must be completed by day 1 of programming.

  • If you have a conflict, notify your Program Leader so they can communicate with the professional development facilitator.
